Youth Camp

Hey...it is about 11:00 and night and we just got home from our "mini camp" Youth Camp Retreat..whatever you would like to call it...so I'm very, very, very tired!!! I have a lot of pictures that I would like to share but for now..I'm going to bed..we had around 50 in attendance!! We thought that was pretty good considering we only announced it 2 weeks ago..haha...we had 3 church of god of prophecy people there...they were from the E-town area...it was good to see them again...(we used to live there and got to know them while there) Anyways I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow and tell more about it...

Missing Something

Well Hello everybody!! It's been awhile...not really a lot going on here. I got a part time job working at Goody's so between raising my girls, keeping house and working a few hours a week at Goody's, I've been kinda busy...It seems my days are flying by. I can't decide if I want to keep this job or not. I like getting out of the house and I like a little spending money..and I do mean little..lol...but I don't know if I like the time away from the girls. I mean it's not a lot...like this week is only 13 hours..last week was 24 hours..and most of it is after they go to bed...but still I'm so used to being home with them. I just don't know..I've got mixed feelings about it... I'm wanting to get on at the school...but I would be gone a lot more from my youngest daughter..my oldest is getting ready to start 1st grade, so it wouldn't matter much to her...I dont' know....I'm leaving it in God's hands... I know if he wants me to have that job that he will supply it and if he doesn't then so be it!! God has always helped us finacially even when it seemed like we weren't going to make it...he always comes through for us. He's an awesome God!! I know my husband someday would like to get back into the full time ministry someday. I do enjoy living next to my parents ...it's like a dream come true, but at the same time...I feel like we're missing something...I always thought this would be the greatest thing to happen was for us to go back to "normal" living so to speak...Him have a "Public" job, me work part-time and stay at home with the kids...and live next door to my family...I mean..what more could I ask for, right?!? But still I feel I'm missing something...what??? I'm not saying I feel like I'm out of the Lord's will because it doesn't seem like really any doors have been opened and Donald is still pastoring...just not able to pastor full time. I dont' know...This probably doesn't even make any sense... I guess we've just grown accustom (ms?) to being in the ministry full time. I know that many, probably most have to have a public job and we're no better...but I didn't really want it when I had it but now somehow...I miss it.... Sometimes I wonder if God is humbling me and making me realize how good I did have it....I don't know...some of the things I used to wish I had in my life or didn't have...it seems God has granted it...but now I feel I want my old life back..well to a degree...I would never want Tuesday dinner sales back again.LOL!!!..(we used to have to sale dinners for our church every Tuesday...NOT FUN!! Willing to do it but not fun) and there is a lot of other things that I would rather not talk about that I definately wouldn't want back...but just the feeling that were actually helping people...not just in our local church but the hurting people in our community...I know, I know, you dont' have to be a minister or a minister's wife to do that..but now our time seems to be a lot more limited...than it did when he was full time minister..especially when we lived at E-town...I miss E-town in a lot of ways...I miss the people there too. My husband and I didn't really feel God leading us back there though... Don't get me wrong, we're excited about Winchester...and hope that we can be a blessing to those folks there and maybe someday the Lord will bless it enough to were there might be a minister full time there. ...Those people are a blessing to us!! Good friends!! Speaking of that we had one to get saved Sunday night!!..Praise the Lord!! That makes two in the last month to get saved there...please continue praying for us there at Winchester....

I'm just a little disoriented lately....I guess in some ways we as The Church all are...There seems to be a lot going on in The Church right now..but I know God has it all under control!! We just need to stay close to him and hang on!! God Bless Each of you!!

This is a little wierd for me because I don't normally open up like this...oh well...I'm trying new things..LOL

Praise the Lord!!!

Hello...well not alot going on right now. My husband finally went back to work today..LOL!! I took him to the doctor yesterday morning to have the tests run to see if he had anything wrong with his stomach, gallbladder, etc. We haven't heard from his doctor yet, but the ultrasound person said he didn't see anything wrong. Yesterday he said he felt great physically!! We both believe that the Lord has healed him. I've really been praying for him and I know there has been a lot of prayers going up on his behalf. We have been worried because if he did have to have a surgery, even if it is minor, he would still have to have time off work and he doesn't have any more sick time left, due to this past week. He would have to go on short term disabiltiy and that only pays like 60% of your paycheck....thats not good...so I feel like the Lord is answering our prayers...Praise the Lord...he is soooooo GOOD to us!!!!

But anyways...I feel like my life is getting back to norm since he went back to work today..he messes my routine up so badly when he's home...LOL....I love him though!!

Because we were not having a Youth Camp this year, we decided to have a Youth Camp Retreat instead...I'm excited about it!! It is going to be the same weekend camp was suppose to be in..which is 28th-30th. We are all going to Mayfield, Ky. One of our churches is located there. The guys are going to take tents and camp out on the Church lot..(I havent' seen it but apparently they have a pretty big lot there) and all of us girls are going to Sis. Cindy Brown's house for a Slumber Party!! woooh hoooo!!! I'm excited about it. Then on Saturday we are going to have a day kinda like a camp schedule would run. classes, craft class, fun time, naps (kidding), lunch, etc... We'll have evangelistic services on Friday and Saturday night and then stay over for Sunday School and Church at Mayfield... I'm excited about it. Because we were afraid that we would put more money out with the amount of kids that we would have we decided to downgrade this year instead, but we felt like we needed to get together still. So I think this will be a good time with one another. So anyone who is in the area or would like to be in the area..your more than welcome to come join us!!! This will be our last time at being in charge of the Youth Camp program. Donald and I have decided with much thought and prayer to step down this year. I'm more than willing to help out but we just don't feel we can give the time and energy that the Youth Camp Program deserves.

Hey, Hey, Hey!!

Hey Everyone...I'm finally posting again. It's been such a long busy week!! With Donald being sick it has messed my day to day routine up, plus I got a part time job working at Goody's a few hours a week..so that has been keeping pretty busy too while I'm adjusting to a new schedule. I really would like to get on at the Madison County School System...I've sent in my application and they told me that if a position became available that they would give me a call for an interview. So if you think about it say a prayer for me that I might get a job with the School System. Only if it's the Lord's will.

Our Convention was this weekend. It was a good convention, but Saturday night was the best!!! Bro. Carter, Bro. Lanny Carter that is, from Virginia preached up a storm. It was an outstanding message and very timely!!! Praise the Lord for men like him!!! The Lord really moved in the service and sent a peace down and a refreshing spirit on us!! It was something that we all needed very much!! Sis. Leandra Morris is our new V.L.B. Leader...I'm very excited about that...I think she will do a good job!! She is very dedicated to the Lord. Donald and I decided to step down from Youth Camp this year. It was a wierd feeling not being called out for that, but I'm actually relieved that we don't have that to think about this year. Theres just too much other things that we seemingly can't get off our minds. I think I pretty much keep a headache..(lol)

Well be in prayer for Donald tomorrow morning...I am taking him to the Doctor to have some tests done on his stomach to find out if he has Gallbladder Disease or something else wrong with him. I just want what ever it is to be fixed so he can start feeling better...He gets so sick sometimes..I hate it for him.

Update

Donald is home now...I thank everyone that said a prayer for him!! He had the Heart Cath. and it came back that nothing was wrong with his heart. Praise the Lord!! So he has to go to some other doctors and find out if he could have ulcers, acid reflux, or Gall Bladder Disease. I know none of those sounds great either but believe me when it's compared to your heart, you'd take any of those that I mentioned, But I know God can heal him of this and he never have another problem like that again...so please keep him your prayers...he scared me!! I love and appreciate you all!!

My Husband

Hey Everyone!! I just wanted to type a quick post to ask EVERYONE that would to PLEASE pray for my Husband, Donald...He's at the Hospital and is going to have a Heart Cath. done today. He has been having a lot of chest pains...The doctor said it could be a number of things but that they want to check his heart first.....I know God answers Prayers so Please be praying for him and our family...we are still going through a lot!! Love ya'll...

Happy 4th!!

Hello everyone!! It is the 4th of July today!! Well actually it is almost over..well actually I guess since it is after minight it is over...It is July 5th. Well Happy 4th anyways!!(haha)

Let's see this has been a very busy weekend. As I posted before the Odell's came in this weekend. They arrived on Thursday and left on Monday...a total of 5 days...We had a great time with them. They brought their 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, speed bike, and go-carts with them. It was alot of fun!! They are a lot of fun to be with too. If anyone has seen my house you know it is not a large house by anymeans...I have a 3 bedroom house with a pretty large living room, a small kitchen, and small dining room. There was a total of 9 people who stayed in my house for most of the time they were here, BUT one night we actually had 11 people here because my cousins Amber and Chelsea spent the night too. It was wild but I loved it. I didn't much like cleaning my house up because with that many people in one house it's bound to get messy, and it did!! But the weekend was great!!

Then today we had a annual family cookout. My dad always has it and a lot of people come to it..Today, however we had a very hard shower start while we were outside eating and talking and stuff. It was so funny watching everyone just run around trying to get out of the rain...me, donald, amber, linda, paul, keesha all ended up under this cover. It was soooo funny...(I guess you had to be there) So after all that kaos (ms?) we went to Lake Reba, which is a place that they have a big fireworks thing at every year. It was a lot of fun too. Me and Amber would walk through the crowd of people just for fun more or less. I love watching people...it's a bad habit I have. People are very humorous. Try it sometime.

I will try and post some pictures tomorrow of the girls...but right now..I'm going to sleep...

FAT

I feel F-A-T today...does anyone ever have one of those days??? or is it just me...You look at yourself in the mirror and you thing Good Grief "How much do I weigh?!?!?" I don't know it's just been one of those days. I just feel yucky...oh well...just one of those things...I guess I could try and lose some weight. I've never really had to deal with the weight thing much, but as I'm nearing 30 I can see that I am going to start struggling with it. I've always just ate what I wanted to, but things are beginning to change!! Unfortuately!!

Well on to other things..Let's see I didn't have a lot to do today as far as running here there and everywhere. I did some laundry and straightend the house up some. Trying to get the house ready for the Odell five. I need to go grocery shopping soon too. I took the girls to the Library this afternoon because they have Artmania...Going to the Library for the different programs they offer during the Summer is pretty neat and it seems to keep them occupied too. Haley is in a reading program where she gets prizes for so many pages and books that she reads...It's pretty neat..and I like to encourage her reading whenever possible. She's a good reader and actually likes to do it.

Then tonight I took Haley to another VBS and I've been home fighting the fussy baby. She is either not feeling well or just tired. I think she is finally starting to fall asleep IF Haley doesn't wake her up!! I get her to sleep and then Haley or Donald comes in and WAKES HER UP!! THE NERVE OF THEM!! (but I love them anyways) haha...

My weekend

It's monday morning again...I meant to post last night but got to playing on something else and forgot. So how was my weekend? Pretty good overall, I think. I really can't remember some of it.."What did I do with myself" haha... I think Friday I cleaned house mostly. Saturday we went to my cousins wedding..she made a beautiful Bride. It's hard to believe she's old enough to be one. I remember when she was born. she's about 9 years younger than me.

We also got to talk to some friends that we hadn't seen since the Assembly on Saturday also. It was nice seeing them. I'm hoping one family is going to come up this next Saturday for a cook out we're having because the Odell's will be with us also. That way we can spend some more time with them.

Saturday night I got pretty sick...some kind of virus, I think...I decided to go to Winchester instead of riding all the way to Raceland and having to spend the day there with the kids too. I didn't feel I was up to that. I miss the Raceland Church People when I don't get to see them though. We had a good service at Winchester yesterday though. and then me and the girls went to CiCi's for lunch. That was nice spending just "me" time with the girls out. I mean we're together all the time at home...but we don't always get the opportunity to just have "girls day out" It was very nice. Although I must say I missed my Husband ALOT yesterday. I've gotten so used to spending Sunday's with him that it will probably make for a very long week..because my days will be all messed up now...oh well.

And that was pretty much my weekend...I have a very busy day to day, so I think I better go and get it started...more later..

HOORAY!!

Well...Not a whole lot went on today...BUT my dad was able to get my dent mostly out!! HOORAY!!! I was so happy..I mean if you look real closely you can tell I've hit something but it doesn't look too bad...Thankfully!!

On to another note...my father-in-law is in the hospital tonight with a stroke. It doesn't appear to be a bad one but still a stroke non-the-less. He needs prayer.

Haley had her last T-ball game tonight for this season. I'm happy but sad too...I really enjoy going to them.. next year if she plays she will be playing on a team that keeps score. It will definately be more competitive next year. I think she really enjoys it.

HOORAY..my dent is out!!!!

What a day!

Hello everyone...well this has been a day...It started off with me getting up this morning and doing house chores like usual...then I went to Physical Therapy...I think I hurt worse now than I did before I went...something seems backwards there but anyways. I got home and did some more housework and then went to mom and dads for supper tonight. After that I told my mom I would help her clean their storage building out. Boy was that a chore...And Very, Very, Very HOT!! But we got that done and during this it had started raining. Donald had taken our girls up to my grandma's to stay while we helped out. So I told them I was going to go and get the girls. I got in the van and started to back up and BOOM!!! Yes, I wrecked the van...I was afraid to look, I had hit this trailer/wagon thing. So when I got up to my grandma's I looked and it didn't appear to have looked like I hit anything...I was so happy and relieved!! BUT when I got back to the house again.....I decided I'd better take another look..and guess what..I have a dented bumper!! I felt like crying..I've just had it a year/ with several more years to pay on it. I told my husband and he was cool about it..but I knew he wanted to say how in the world did you do that...but he didn't, he was nice. I just feel so bad about it because I have done the same thing to my other vehicles in the past...It always happens at HOME, BACKING UP!! I just don't understand why it happens...I honestly did not see the trailer/wagon thing. But oh well...I guess it could have been worse...I'm hoping it can be popped out..because it's plastic, I think... So anyway that was my day...

Let me think....what did I do today...hmmm....well it started out this morning going to Haley's T-ball game. I let her stay with her grandma last night...big mistake...she was like a zombie out there on the field today!!! She stayed up WAY to LATE with her cousins, Amber and Chelsea!!!! But it went pretty good other wise...she then got her pictures made by herself and with the team. She only has one game left! It seems like it flew by...overall she's pretty good. After that Haley went with her Aunt Swimming and Donald, Me, and Taylor went down to Boonesborough Park. There is a small beach there that no one hardly ever goes too because the Water is contaminated, but we decided to walk down there in the sand with Taylor...and our Dog, Samson. Taylor loved it!! And Samson played in the water, YUCK....Sand and water don't mix to well on a furry dog..haha... Anyways we then went back up to the park part and walked around...It was very relaxing and enjoyable!! After that we came back and just relaxed around the house for a little while. Then I went out and bought Father's Day Cards for all the men in my life...my husband and my dad...just in case anyone is wondering about that...LOL!! So Donald or Dad if your reading this HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! You two are the greatest!!! And Happy Father's Day to any other Father out there too!!! Okay back to my day...when I got back from town I got ready and my dad took all of us out to eat at an Italian Resturant...VERY GOOD!!! (Thanks dad for the good grub) Then we came home and mom watched Taylor and Haley while me and Donald planted some plants in our Garden...(corn, pepper, watermelon) I enjoy working out there with Donald...I didn't think I would but it is relaxing actually!! Amber came up and watched us..and helped a little bit...mostly watched though..LOL!!! (she was afraid to get her hands dirty, I think) hee hee.... Then we played around with the girls and Donald is in the process of writing a song about them...He has the chorus wrote and it sounds really good so far...can't wait to hear the verses...He wrote me a birthday song once...I LOVE IT!!! The Odell's are coming to our house in a couple weeks to stay...All FIVE of them!! (Bro. Brian, Sis. Belinda, Tori, Trever, and Terah) We are so excited about it...It will definatly be a wild place around here for a few days...I believe they are staying with us from Thursday to Monday...Their so much fun to be around... Well thats my day...I'm going to bed..we have a LONG day tomorrow...bye!!!

Lazy Day

Well another day gone... It was a pretty boring day over all. I went swimming with the kids today and got some sun...yeah for me!! Then I came home with Taylor and layed her down for a nap and guess what??? I took a nap too!!! I never take naps during the day but today I did...it was refreshing actually..maybe I should do it more often..nnnaaaaahhh...Thats just not me..I like to keep myself busy during the day. It makes for a more satisfying day. I've been kinda in a bad mood the last couple of days and I dont' know why...I hate feeling like that...I'm determined to make myself in a good mood tomorrow..LOL!!! We'll see how it goes. HA!

I've been praying a lot for The Church. I was very pleased with the selection, Bro. Smith. I think he will be a good GO...and hopefully God will let us know exactly who he wants in that position (whether it be him or someone else) at the Assembly!!

Well I guess thats about it for tonight.

Hello everybody!! It is Monday evening and not much really happened today. I had physical therapy this morning, came home and cleaned my house, cooked supper and in a few minutes I am going to take my girls to Vacation Bible School. Thats about it. I don't really have anything else to talk about. I've been praying a lot for the Presbytary meeting and wondering how it is going. Other than that I just don't know what to say..haha...Me not know what to say..thats funny!! Well I'll go for now..maybe something interesting will happen later..lol! Oh yeah..I did reserve my hotel for the assembly, but I'm still checking rates. I got mine at the Holiday Inn & Suites..rate $55.00. If anyone has any other suggenstions let me know...bye

It's been a L-O-N-G day

Hello everyone. Today has been a very long day!! Not bad just long. It started about 1:00 this morning. Taylor started crying nonstop. We couldn't figure out what in the world was wrong with the poor little thing. She cried hard for about an hour and then I realized hay, she is teething, I bet her gums are hurting her, pretty smart, huh?! lol...so I gave her some motrin and in a few minutes she went to sleep.

So then I finally fell asleep and had to get up at 7:00 this morning because I had a eye appointment to get new glasses. So I went and I actually got my new glasses today...sameday...how wierd is that...the last time i went to an eye doctor it took me two weeks to get my glasses...(Its's been awhile since I had been to an eye doctor lol) So I can see a lot better now!!! Yeah!!!!

THEN...

I came home got my mom and we went shopping!! I had a lot of fun with her and then she took me out to eat..thats always nice!

AND THEN...

Heres the big one...my mom said she would keep BOTH kids for me tonight..so that means I can sleep in in the morning..YIPPPPEEEE!!!

So It's not been a bad day, just a long day!!

Before I quit this post I just wanted anyone that reads this to say a prayer for me , I have a very special unspoken request that I'm needing the Lord to intervene in...Thanks a bunch...

Hello

Today I had a doctors appointment this morning and then came home and cleaned my house...well some of it. Everything but the bedrooms and bathroom, but the front of the house is very clean. I figured I'd tackle the bedrooms tomorrow. yeah for me! My daughters bedroom looks like a tornado hit it. We will clean her room and it will look like a mess a few hours later. She doesn't even play in there that much. She's usually outside, so I don't know what happens to it. Who knows!?! Haley also had a teeball game tonight so we went to that. She did real good. Next year they will begin keeping score so it will get interesting next year. haha...I'm just a little competitive.haha. Well thats been my day for the most part, kinda boring I know. Well gotta go for now.
